CORT BASS - STRING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT FOR BETTER PLAYABILITY

This Cort bass came into the workshop with a common issue: the string action was set too low, causing fret buzz and making the instrument feel less comfortable to play. While low action can be great for speed and comfort, there’s a fine balance between playability and clean tone — and this one needed a little fine-tuning.
I started by checking the neck relief and bridge setup to see exactly where the problem was coming from. After a few careful truss rod and saddle adjustments, I raised the string height just enough to eliminate the buzzing while keeping the action smooth and fast under the fingers.
The difference was immediate — the notes rang out clearly, and the bass felt much more responsive. It’s always satisfying to find that sweet spot where the instrument plays comfortably and sounds its best.
