FENDER CALIFORNIA SERIES ACOUSTIC GUITAR – A BOLD BEAUTY BACK IN ACTION

This week in the shop, I had the pleasure of working on a Fender California Series acoustic guitar—a vibrant and stylish instrument that blends classic Fender character with a modern, road-ready build. These guitars are known for their striking looks, unique color finishes, and comfortable playability.

The California Series is distinctive for its sloped-shoulder dreadnought body, Fender Strat-style headstock, and bold, satin finishes that make it stand out on any stage. The guitar I serviced featured a solid spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, delivering a warm, articulate tone with great projection.

My client brought it in for a setup and some light fretwork. After adjusting the neck relief, lowering the action, cleaning up the frets, and dialing in the intonation, this California was playing better than ever—smooth, resonant, and gig-ready.
